ABOUT NICK
Nick is based in Austin but grew up in Spring Valley, CA. He went to college in the Bay Area where he spent several years before moving out to Texas in 2016. An avid collector of random knowledge, he is consistently inspired by architecture, design, and art history, in addition to ecology which was his first academic love.
He started pottery in the spring of 2024 after taking a beginning wheel throwing class at the Art School at the Contemporary Austin at Laguna Gloria and dove right into the art form: taking several classes concurrently and eventually becoming a 24/7 member at Broad Studios Clubhouse in East Austin.
He sells his pots as a way to share his work with the community and maybe score an anonymous patron to offset the cost of clay, glaze, firing and space. Capitalism is stupid so please reach out if you’re keen to get some art to have and to hold but don’t have a monthly art budget.
Nick is a proud queer artist who believes that a diverse, equitable and inclusive world is worth living for, as hard as you can. Y’all means all.
