Gearing up for my first market!
I found out today that I’ll be participating in a pottery market organized by our studio at Holiday (cocktail bar in east Austin)! I’ve started ramping up in making stuff, as I’ve been in somewhat of a creative rut these past few weeks that has resulted in a bunch of pieces I haven’t been super happy with or a lot of throwaways during the trimming phase.
This week has been pretty chill at work (kinda), so I’ve had more opportunities to pop in to do some long hours at the studio. Today was my first day feeling more in control of my work at the wheel, and I’m excited to keep practicing being more consistent with my forms and overall cohesiveness of my work.
I made three larger pieces today: a large vase, a slim vase and a dog bowl.
